I thought it would be nice to have a break from Christmas (well it is August lol) so today's card is one that I can't find on the blog but I thought I would have blogged this as I love it! If you have seen it before sorry but I checked and couldn't see where!
This is made using the Canadian collection and the prefect peony. I stared by die cutting the outline die from the Vancouver die set in the centre of a 18 x 18cm square of milk foundation card. Next I embossed this using the scored lines embossing folder. I then cut the second and third die for the same set in lilac foundation card. I then die cut a piece of milk with the third die and mounted the lilac piece above. I then cut die 4 and 5 form lilac, die 5 from milk (and mounted these together.
To make up the central piece I simply foam mounted each layer together alternating colours. I finished with a lilac layer and added some pearls and a set of pearl squares cut form one of the corner sets in the centre.
The flowers are made by cutting the perfect peony complete petals die (all flowers) in lilac card. I then cut one of each of the open petals in milk card, mounted these above the matching flowers and made up the peonies as shown. A 8mm pearl in the centre and I then repeated the above to make 2 flowers.
I tied a bow in Amethyst satin ribbon and mound the flowers above. I made a couple lot stick pins using Sue Wilson stick pin elements and placed these at 45 degrees to each other framing the centre piece.
