Giveaway and shows...

Happy Monday,

As I may have mentioned yesterday I have some more shows on Hochanda today at 1pm, 3pm and 6pm so tune in channel 39, sky 663 and freest channel 822.  Today's card is one I demoed on Friday and is up for grabs today!

If you m,issued the demo here's a quick update on how this card is made.  I stared by cutting 3 squares of foundation card (2 in wisteria and one in coconut white) to 18x18cm and clipping the corners.  Next I embossed the bottom of one of the wisteria squares with the line leaves embossing folder.  I cut the white square using the filigree and bottom die form the Pyxsis Gemini die.  I then added  just the filigree section and cut that to make the skirt look.  This i foam mounted over the embossed layer.

Next I Cut the top wisteria square using the matching outline die so that it is above the skirt piece. (this was much easier to explain when I was demoing it)  I then embossed this piece using the same folder and foam mounted it on top.

For the topper I used the letterpress technique on the deboss die form the Ornate pierced noble design die using Indigo Mist colour cloud blending ink. and cut it out using the matching dies in the same set.  I stamped the sentiment in the centre of a piece of coconut white card and using the debs die as a guide shaded around it using more of the colour cloud.

I foam mounted this over the main card and added a bow in off white double sided satin ribbon.

Ingredients:
Creative Expressions craft die by Sue Wilson
Ornate Pierced noble design
Gemini Pyxsis
Wisteria & Coconut white foundation card
Indigo Mist colour cloud
Live, Laugh, Love clear stamp set from Creative Expressions

To win this card simply leave a comment on today post!

Enjoy...

  3. Morning John, so looking forward to today's shows on Hochanda, got the times written down and can watch on the PC, pity Virgin don't have it yet.

I remember seeing you make this giveaway card on your first days shows, loved it then and love it now.

Please continue doing your shows as I am so enjoying them, could watch for hours and learnt so many new tricks.

Try to get a little bit of John time today just to chill out and recharge the batteries, yes I know it is not easy but you will benefit from it believe me.

Enjoy you Bank Holiday Monday, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Will you be able to relax a little afterwards? Not for long though I bet, knowing how busy you are. I wish I had a quarter of the energy both you and Sue have : ) Take care x

  12. Hi John
Another stunner today. I've still to watch some of your first shows. They were recorded and I was so busy packing to go away I didn't get to see all of them. Pity I can't see any today either. I'd stay in and watch them online but I don't think hubby would be very pleased.

Thank you for the opportunity to join your Blog...don't know why I hadn't done it before as your cards are so stunning & this card is no exception...luckily I was able to watch on Freeview when you demonstrated this gorgeous card & in my favourite colour, watching you demonstrate has inspired me to purchase some of the Colour Blend inks from CE HQ; Dream Forest, Decadent Oak & Decadent Denim & I have to say the smoothness of blending with these & the colour is fantastic.

Thank you for the fantastic tip on picking up dies with length of tape to secure in correct spot & of course for all the other fabulous hints & tips from your shows...I will be recording today & watching later...so thank you for sharing your amazing talents with us.

Hope you have a fabulous day & the shows go without a hitch for you

    Take care

  22. Hi John,
This is another gorgeous card, and I'm glad to say I have all theses dies, but not the embossing folder so will have to try a different folder.
I am looking forward to your shows on this dismal wet day. While I do some cards myself as I've moved some of my craft stuff into the bureau in the corner of the lounge so I can watch /record and craft the same time lol. That is unless we get visitors.
Have a safe journey in this rotten weather.

  44. Have watched your shows, and cant buy a thing from Hochanda! I thought I had bought the Freedom membership on the first day, tried to buy something yesterday and I cant because their computers will only accept addresses with post codes - we only got them for the first time two weeks ago, and Hochanda have no way of recognising them. When they took my details on the first day, I was told that free P&:P extended to Ireland too, which was great. But they have changed their mind and are going to charge me anyway! That is if they ever let me buy something in the first place. I am not a happy bunny, being mislead on the first day, then no way of buying. What is the point of watching the shows if I can't get what I'd like? Please have a go at them for me.

  45. Helloooo John! I obviously missed this demonstration but can honestly say what a stunning card! My favourite colours too. I'm hoping to watch a couple of your shows....but to make sure I'll get my husband to record them. "Thank you" for all the tips and as Beth has said (and reminded me!) about using tape to pick up the dies and put them into place. Have a great day today and try and have a rest in between. We don't want you burning out! In fact it makes us reaise just how hard you, Sue, Julia, Phil alongside countless of others who do this for us. So a very big "thank you" to you and all. Also for giving us a chance to win one of our gorgeous cards xx
