Don't Trust hotel wifi! lol

Happy Monday,

Sorry for the late arrival of today's blog post!  I wrote the post last night in the hotel (was too tired to drive home so stayed an extra night) but when I got on the road this morning my wake up call informed me this hadn't gone live!  Getting home I find that it is missing!?! lol

As its a beautiful spring day her I thought you might all like to see some bright daffodils so I thought it was time to show you all my new Striplet stamp Daffodil Burst.

I had so much fun drawing this one as it just looks like an explosion of daffs seen through a window.  This striplet stamp is designed to match with an elements set featuring a field of daffodils however that will be revealed on my shows on C&C at the end of the month.

I have coloured the image using the new Mica Watercolour paints that will alas feature on the shows these proved so popular at Ally Pally and should be hitting a shop near you very soon.  I just coloured this stamp in a very naive style to give the feeling of the colours changing and the movement in the flowers.

The sentiment is a sneak peak as it is from the Daffodil Elements set released at the end of April!

I hope you don't mind this quick post as a replacement, more on the weekend as well as the usual giveaway tomorrow, I even have pictures !!!

Enjoy...

  7. Morning John, you are excused for being late, can't wonder at it because you have had a very hectic weekend, it was such a pleasure to actually meet and talk to you yesterday (I was in the mobility scooter) and to see all the wonderful creations, oh what ideas were spinning in my head.

Todays card is so spring, and I understand that we are in for some really nice weather coming up so this design will do us all a treat, love it.

Enjoy your Monday everyone, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

How irritating for you that your original post went AWOL. It sounds like the show was a great success, so looking forward to seeing the pictures.

  12. Hi John,
wish spring had stayed on a little bit in Chester. It's absolutely freezing again and grey into the bargain. So your lovely card cheered me up a bit.
Very wise, not driving when tired.

  26. Hi John
I love your daffodil stamp. You've captured them completely. I always think of daffodils as 'show-offs' and I love the way they're tumbling down the card. Gorgeous colouring. Best wishes, Anne O
