Ive Been Scribbling...

Happy Sunday,

My chosen set for today is the Scribble rose set and this is the first design I drew and submitted.  The idea is simple It is in the elements range so with this set you get the main oval sentiment frame, a selection of sentiments and all the elements that make up the main design.  These first two cards are maddening the elements 2 of the scribble rose along with a selection of the leaves in the set.  As the stamps are all acyrlic you can see where you are stamping which allows you to build up different designs.

The second card features a wreath made entirely using the elements in the set.  I hand drew around a small plate to give me a circle.  I then stamped around the circle using just 2 of the roses in the set and 2 of the foliage stamps.  I then coloured in the wreath and rubbed out the penal line.

I have also designed a background to match .  As you can see the backgrounds have been designed to match the outer die from most of Sue Wilsons striplet dies.  I love the idea of the flexibility of this as you can repeat the design or cut in in panels with the die or even use it recessed with the die cutting an aperture for the stamped image to sit behind.

There should be a card to match these 2 showing the main oval element of this set however when I unpacked from stitches this set was missing I don't know if someone took it home by mistake or what so if I can get another there will be a few cards made in this set!

Ingredients:
Scribble Rose Elements Clear Stamp Set
Scribble rose A5 stamp set from Creative Expressions - designed by me but now missing lol!

  23. Well, I thought yesterday's were good, but these are even better. What lovely cards these have made, and the stamps are ideal for me, since I am not too keen on colouring in fine detail and shading. Wow for the sentiments too.
    Cheers

  29. Hi John,
Very pretty use of the striplet and your stamp designs are so wonderful.
I hope they show off your stamps on Create&Craft- every single one.

Assuredly everyone will be happier when the missing set turns up. I had never heard the term 'half inched' as Mrs. Duck mentioned. The only 'half' I had heard of is 'half wit'.
Will have my friend put a hex on the light fingered. Hope you let us know when the set comes back to you - so the hex can be lifted.

  34. Hi John,
Your card is lovely but your stamps are even better and i must admit that i hope they are at Glasgow next month for the show as they are really gorgeous and so useable. I love how you have broken each big stamp down into various components that we can use to make matching things like different back ground papers or just a single flower or leaf or make borders, the list is endless, thank you flower.
