Back to the Gemini and Lyra die today, now I know I'm not supposed to have a favourite but if i just say I LOVE this die and leave it there lol. I promised a few more outings of this die this week and here is the first. I just think this card looks so classy I hop you do too!
Its simply the die cut across the bottom at an angle using the centre and one of the edge dies in Rich Plum foundation card. I then added scored lines at half centimetre intervals from the die cut to the top. This simple style, Pioneered by Sue Wilson just gives a plain piece of card a classic edge. As I was using a classic Sue technique I thought I should have a go at her pierced edge around the card, mine isn't anyway as neat as hers always are!
I added a piece of Milk foundation card behind the plum panel which I had embossed with a pinpoint embossing folder. I cut this to the same size however I allowed it to make the piece into a nice long rectangle (I used A4 card and judged the sizes by eye led by the die)
It looked a little plain so I added a row of the Camilla flowers in the same Milk however I edged each one using the open petal die set in the plum to make the flowers 'pop'
Finally I added the new Dainty Rectangular frame which I cut as a whole, in milk card, and I drew around the centre die and hand cut the piece in the Plum. Finally I stamped the sentiment, from Creative Expressions, in Black Archival on a piece of milk and cut it with the smallest die in the set.
