Something New...

Happy Thursday,

As Sue Wilson has revealed all of her beautiful new range of dies and I am at CE Towers today leading a workshop with them I thought I could show you another card I have made using the new release.  However this time it is the New York collection.  For this card I used the Herald Square die which I found really amusing as, until last week, I had no idea there was a square in New York called that, I went there last week and the detail of this die really matches the beauty of the area especially as it is the lead on to my favourite store Macy's!

The card is quite simple in Antique gold and ginger utilising the stunning matching stamp to die for from the new range.

The ivy die is made using a technique of Sue's that I will be demonstrating today and I will do a video on this one once my current run or workshops is over!  I am also doing this workshop, along with a demo, at aisles Jewels and crafts in Bedworth near Coventry on Saturday so pop along if you are in the area.  The card I am demoing will be shown tomorrow along with more details of the day!

As per usual for me there is a little gilding as well as some embossed stamping.

Ingredients:
Sue Wilson's Herald Square & Ivy die sets
Creative Expressions Delicate Deco Square stamp to die for
Cosmic Shimmer Gold pearl lustre embossing powder
Antique Gold & Ginger foundation card
Distress inks forest Moss, Crushed Olive and Pine Needles

Enjoy...

  4. Gorgeous card John, I really love this Ivy die, a must have I think as I do not always want to put flowers on a card, with this they are not needed. Glad you stated the card is Gold & Ginger as I was not sure, a couple of the photos look Silver & Ginger but looks fabulous either way.

Good luck with your workshop today.

    Love & Hugs

  7. Hi John. What a stunner, it is a gorgeous card. I have just ordered the ivy. The Herald dies and matching stamps are wonderful too. I love all of Sue's new dies and can't decide in which order to put them on my wish list but the Ivy is a "must have now" as it is beautiful, and is going to be very useful : ) I hope you have fun today. I am looking forward to seeing your videos of what you have done with Sue's dies.Take care.

  15. Lovely card John, though not a fan of ivy, so would have to find an alternative myself. Nice to see someone else's take on Sue dies.

    beautiful,beautiful card today.
I love your fab design as usual.
Now I am a bit confused, and it doesn't take much to confuse me nowadays or is it just me being stupid, but are there 2 different colours of this card shown today, as I am getting a lovely gold on one and then a cream on your close up, and bottom card.

  28. Gorgeous card John. I have this embossing folder but it wont go through the calibur using the grey base plate and raspberry plate, I really feel as though I need to force it and as I broke my last calibur forcing something through I just dare not do it again. What sandwich do you use please xx
