Something Lighter...

Happy Tuesday!

Today's card is the antidote to yesterday and is a great deal lighter!  I have to say that the ribbon on yesterdays card was actually a dark plum however it did come out red on peoples screens, will be careful with that colour of seam binding in future!

Back to today and a quite simple card of a die cut in the Sue Wilson Vienna die cut and some stamping.  I cut an aperture in a hand folded A5 card blank using the filigree section.  I then cut an oval in the same colour and stamped it.

The stamping is an old set form Creative Expressions that I've had for about 10 years.  All I did was stamp the sentiment, from the friends sentiments set, and then add the flowers, foliage and bees using green and black.

Finally a messy bow that hopefully matches the colours today!

Ingredients:
Sue Wilson Vienna Die set
Milk foundation Card
Friends Sentiments stamp
Old random flower stamps
Moss seam binding

Enjoy...

  1. Stunning John, love it. Yes the bow is that wonderful two tone Green and it matches perfectly. Who would have thought yesterdays bow was a Dark Plum, how bizarre it showed as a Red lol! never mind, hope you weren't too disappointed with our comments? Your creations are amazing.

  6. Eh up John
Phew! Thank goodness you explained about yesterdays ribbon as I did hope you didn't think red and purple were matching lol!
Todays card is a lot gentler on the eye and less is more.
    Have a great day.

  9. Effective use of the die - lovely card. It is certainly strange how some colours seem to come over quite differently when scanned or photographed even though they look the same when viewed for real - mystery to me anyway.

  12. Hi John.
Oh I love today's card so simple but very elegant.
How strange that yesterday's bow showed up red....it's so odd what our PCs can sometimes do to colours...but today's is perfect.

  13. Hi John,
another of your stunning cards today.
Love the way you can create something so beautiful with just a couple of dies and a gorgeous bow.
Those Sue Wilson dies sure are pretty enough to do this.
    Crafty Regards. Jenny L.

  15. Good morning John, well I have really missed something whilst I have been away. Congratulations on having some of your cards shown on tv, that must have given you goodebumps and now I see you are at BSSS at the weekend. Like someone else posted I came back to find I had won tickets to go to the show so I hope to see you there and introduce myself - just depends how many groupies you have around you!! I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts I missed but what I have seen are so nice. I really must get myself an ipad or something to keep up when I am away. best wishes Jackie
