Simple Sunday

Happy Sunday,

Today's simple offering comes with an added extra, I have simply die cut the centre filigree sections form the Sue Wilson Innsbruck die in white hammered card.  This is then foam mounted over a CE Teal foundation card.

The added extra is the small panel at the end of the woven ribbon strip.  I have used the same technique as I did on Fridays card however I only stamped the image once onto shrink plastic and this time heated it in the oven which gives a nice flat finish.  I then coloured the reverse with oil pints to highlight the design.

The option today is to add the stamped 'tile' or not a simple card without a little more detailed with.  The choice is your.

Ingredients:
Sue Wilson Innsbruck die
Sue Wilson daisy Single Stamp
Clear Shrink Plastic
Card and Ribbon from stash.

Enjoy...

  3. Eh up John
Sorry, not keen on how you've done the ribbon. It reminds me of a belt. The painted tile on the other hand is lovely but needs to be shown off a bit more.
    Have a great day.

A clean classic card, would be suitable for all sorts of occasions and I can see in lots of colours. Love the little tile.

  5. Love the card-very Art Deco. I think the shrink plastic tile is lost on the card which seems a shame. Use it on another project maybe?

  7. Hi John,
Clean and classy but I do think the pretty little tile looks a little bit lost.

  8. Hi John. Beautiful card, not too sure about the ribbon and I think the gorgeous tile is lost. Or is the effect different in the flesh? I think it is so hard to tell sometimes as we all know how different cards look in photos(and I don't men just yours, but everyones) I have got my shrink plastic out ready to have another go at colouring it, hadn't thought of using paints after shrinking it so thanks for that. Take care.

  9. Hi John, beautiful card, love the shrink plastic tile, and the hammered card looks great. Would have chosen a better ribbon I think but that's me, this ribbon looks quite masculine with a feminine tile!

  10. Sorry, but just feel it doesn't all gell. Individual parts are lovely, but not together.
Hate to be critical, but it's your own fault for setting such a high standard.
