Monday Stamping...

Happy Monday,

As I know I have mentioned before I started out in craft stamping however it seems to have been sidelined recently (for that read for an age!)  So I thought Id have a go at stamping and challenging myself with some stamping.

Of course I had to add a little bit (for that read a lot) of die cutting as well!  The image is stamped three times on a piece of super smooth card and coloured with a silver gel pen.  I then cut three oval apertures and foam mounted the stamped image behind.  The frames, and apertures, are cut using the Sue Wilson French Collection die in a pastel blue card.

The top card is then foam mounted onto a pale blue mat which is, in turn, foam mounted onto a hand cut white card blank.

I finally added a strip of matching ribbon and a mixed bow of satin ribbon and 2 shades of tulle.  Of course there are a couple of Wendy's hatpins.

Ingredients:
Sue Wilson French Collection borders and tags die
Creative expressions singles daisy stamp
Blue & White cardstock
Ribbon and Tulle form stash
Wendy's hatpins

Enjoy...

  2. Lovely card-looks very classical, almost french in design. I bought 2 more stamps at Leigh to go with the hundrends I already have-the odd thing is I rarely do any stamping. One day maybe I will!!

  6. Oh John I so adore this. A lovely mixture of both stamping and die cutting. I too love stamping but the dies seem to have taken over. If you could see how many boxes of stamps I've got-I really should put them to use.
Can you believe it's September 1st?

  12. Hi John,
Such a gorgeous card today.....I've just got into stamping and embossing and I love the effect so much. I bought some lovely stamps from Honey Doo and Chloe's whilst I was at the Leigh craft show yesterday...and your card today has given me a few ideas to use them. Thanks so much for all your inspiration.

    Love Sheila xx

  13. I love the idea John, but to me, the daisies look a bit cramped in those frames. Please don't take it as a criticism as I'd never do that, you are a far better (and more consistent ) crafter than I.
