Something Different Saturday New!

Happy Different Saturday,

Well The first new something different since the move had to be a box and, of course, had to use the new beveled glass striplet!  Therefore what else could I make for today?!?

I simply cut the die on one piece of A4 card 4 times and then made it into a box. Once I get fully up and running I will make a video tutorial on this one, promise.  There is a different craft project in this one again I tried making things with oven bake clay the other night (more of that in a couple of weeks) and I tried making some flowers and used one on the ribbon of the tag and one on the bottle of oil inside, used as a bottle stopper.

A simple box but can be used for many different products or makes.

  1. Lovely John. It reminds me of an old fashioned lantern to put a candle in. Very interested in your baked clay. I did Salt Dough Modelling in the Uk for many years. Sadly I found it too humid out here and the hardened dough reverted to actual soft dough even after it was varnished. I added all sorts of stuff to it including wallpaper paste but sadly had to give it up . I'm looking forward to seeing what else you make with the clay.
Enjoy the Craft Show this weekend., you lucky thing.
    Love val x

  2. Inspired box John! Especially as I have just acquired a set of polymer clay blocks (and a past machine) so that I can play to me hearts content with those too. Now you have given me another way of using what I make with the clay, so thanks for sharing your ideas.

  3. Eh up John
Well, we've all done the boxes with other dies so its only fair that the BGS gets its day with your great box.
Interesting stopper. I've only used Fimo for jewellery so will be interesting to see what else you've come up with.
Enjoy the Sun today as we'll be out in the deluge tomorrow. Did I tell you the show is outdoors? Only joking. Chat later.
