Not Christmas...

Happy Wednesday,

I hope today finds you all well and warm!  The temperature has dropped here as well and as I'm sure Val and Wendy will agree its feeling cold!  I thought enough Christmas we need something warm and sunny so here is todays creation....

This card was made using the Spellbinders extendible pattern nature as a mask with opalescent  inks stencilled through the cut piece.  Now I made this card as a pair with this card I posted whilst away I used the piece I used as the stencil as the main element.

The flowers are spellbinders cherry blossom die with additional foliage.

  1. Hi John
It is a little milder here today, a very pretty card and box .

  2. It is flippin freezin although the rain has warmed it abit. Your card is lovely and the stencil looks like a piece of parchment i have just completed. I may post it tomorrow. Xxxx

  3. Oh John this is so pretty. Love the stencilling and the pretty flowers. I love the cherry blossom die, yet another one to buy.
Yep, it certainly is cold. The rain last night was really heavy and my poor little dog kept her legs crossed for hours. She's Spanish , so hates the bad weather.
I'm sure it's a lot colder than this in the UK but we're just not used to it here.
    Keep warm. love Val x

  4. Hola John
Super, pretty card but Im still not getting lavender on my screen, more dusky pink.
Love the different definitions of "freezing" Mine is scraping ice off my windscreen yesterday rather than its a bit nippy to go in the pool hahaha!
    Have a great day matey.

  5. Oooh, I do love it when you used dies I already have! I agree with Mrs Duck - Spanish weather cool, is not like Irish weather cool! (or UK for that matter).

  6. HI John,

  8. Hi John. Greta card. I love the cherry blossom (it's on my wish list) and the blue is beautiful. Take care.

  9. Wow, your card is gorgeous!! What is the brand name for the opalescent ink you used? It is fanstastic!

    1. Hi Shirley, Thanx for the support and wonderful comments! The ink used us a Brilliance Opalescent ink pad in three shades called Brights. If you want to email me at I can send you a link or give more information.

      Take Care,
      John x
