Happiness is Homemade

Happy Thursday,

I know today is Halloween and so my post should be spooky however I did that a couple of weeks ago, click HERE to see my Halloween offering.

Slightly different card for me simple stamping and die cutting...

This is a change of pace from the rest of this week with a very simple Hand Tied bow.

The card starts with hand cutting a card blank by folding a sheet of A4 PMD red cardstock in half, then making it into a square (don't worry the scrap is used for a tag!)

The background is a crackle stamp from creative expressions which I stamped with versamark then embossed with clear powder.  This panel is then swirled with different colours of distress ink and mounted onto a matching red card.

Next a simple double layer of Kraft and red card and a simple stripe of spotty ribbon.

The main element is a heart cut with a spellbinders die in fabric (which I used with iron on interfacing to stop it fraying) a felt rose and a banner tag cut in cream Core'dinations cardstock.  The sentiment you may have seen before as it's a favourite of mine from Waltzing mouse.

Simple but, hopefully, effective!

Enjoy...
